After 13 played minutes O-TT-O got a freekick which was hit by Kaare Kandal. Walter Leisted made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Nevada Lopez de Toro sent off a good shot on target. Generoso Beloki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Volmar Graugaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, O-TT-O's Otto Strib got a free kick in the 18th minute. Curcio Alonso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Walter Leisted made a huge save. Torsten Randslef hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the game, Curcio Alonso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Walter Leisted. Curcio Alonso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erik Véber in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walter Leisted prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Walter Leisted stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Curcio Alonso's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. After 32 played minutes O-TT-O got a freekick which was hit by Volmar Graugaard. In the 34th minute Paul Geeraerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walter Leisted saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walter Leisted took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nevada Lopez de Toro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Torsten Randslef stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Paul Geeraerts's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walter Leisted read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. After 64 minutes O-TT-O's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Curcio Alonso who took care of the corner kick. Vodka Stars 1949's Martin Batalla was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Walter Leisted in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 66th minute, Martin Batalla made a precise shot to the right of Walter Leisted. O-TT-O's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Vodka Stars 1949 made a substitution. Santos Valladolid replaced Edmundo London. Walter Leisted made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Geeraerts in the 70th minute of play. The referee ignored Vodka Stars 1949's protests and gave Alifonso Irureta a yellow card for diving instead. Alifonso Irureta kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Walter Leisted was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Geeraerts in the 89th minute of play forced O-TT-O's goalkeeper Walter Leisted to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 89 played minutes O-TT-O got a freekick which was hit by Volmar Graugaard. Walter Leisted took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Curcio Alonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the match, Martin Batalla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Walter Leisted. O-TT-O's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martin Batalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. When the referee ended the match the Vodka Stars 1949 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
