The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cláudio Pimenta in the 4th minute of play forced AC Rangers's goalkeeper Osvaldo Leobardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Enéas Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Leobardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute of the match SALIMEN got a corner. AC Rangers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Saturnino Gartzea ran over to the corner to take the kick. Saturnino Gartzea made a great header on SALIMEN's corner, it was just that AC Rangers's Osvaldo Leobardo managed to reach the ball for a save. Osvaldo Leobardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulisses Sabóia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Ulisses Sabóia sped through AC Rangers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Osvaldo Leobardo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Faustino Gerazan got free with Osvaldo Leobardo in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elói Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clodoveo Neto in the 23rd minute of the match. Osvaldo Leobardo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enéas Pereira in the 24th minute. Osvaldo Leobardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulisses Sabóia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enéas Pereira in the 30th minute of play forced AC Rangers's goalkeeper Osvaldo Leobardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cláudio Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Leobardo having to interfere. In the 39th minute Cláudio Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Leobardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Enéas Pereira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ulisses Sabóia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osvaldo Leobardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulisses Sabóia, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. SALIMEN's Elói Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tihomir Leustek in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

AC Rangers's Amancio Inocente was substituted for Emiliano Aznaro. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amancio Inocente was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Faustino Gerazan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Leobardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elói Miranda made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Clodoveo Neto sent off a good shot on target. Osvaldo Leobardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustino Gerazan, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Ulisses Sabóia took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Osvaldo Leobardo. Osvaldo Leobardo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. SALIMEN made a substitution. Rony Eger replaced Saturnino Gartzea. SALIMEN's İldeniz Davutoğlu was substituted for Ulisses Sabóia. In the 71st minute Rony Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Leobardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling İldeniz Davutoğlu in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osvaldo Leobardo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SALIMEN's Ronaldão Novaes was substituted for Enéas Pereira. SALIMEN were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after AC Rangers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rony Eger took the corner. İldeniz Davutoğlu was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by İldeniz Davutoğlu in the 76th minute of play forced AC Rangers's goalkeeper Osvaldo Leobardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osvaldo Leobardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from İldeniz Davutoğlu in the 79th minute of the match. Osvaldo Leobardo came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by SALIMEN's İldeniz Davutoğlu. But to his dismay, İldeniz Davutoğlu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 87th minute Faustino Gerazan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Leobardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that İldeniz Davutoğlu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osvaldo Leobardo was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. César Catarinense kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SALIMEN fully deserved thier win.
