Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Odin in the 17th minute of play forced SALIMEN's goalkeeper Elói Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Delta FS's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Gerazan came free, but Gualter Roriz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Delta FS's goal looked a bit too open when Ulisses Sabóia came free, but Gualter Roriz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Delta FS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. After 26 minutes, Faustino Gerazan made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Delta FS's Gualter Roriz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Elói Miranda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amedeo De Matteis's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After 29 minutes, Amedeo De Matteis made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. SALIMEN's Elói Miranda tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcus Odin in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elói Miranda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Napoleon Tylenda in the 37th minute of play forced SALIMEN's goalkeeper Elói Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 played minutes SALIMEN got a freekick which was hit by Saturnino Gartzea. If Marcus Odin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amedeo De Matteis got free with Elói Miranda in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Cláudio Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulisses Sabóia made a kick off. With a little luck, Delta FS's Gualter Roriz got control of the ball when Faustino Gerazan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 56th minute, Walter Samuel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcus Odin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Marcus Odin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SALIMEN's İldeniz Davutoğlu was substituted for Ulisses Sabóia. The audience was convinced that Napoleon Tylenda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elói Miranda was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Elói Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Odin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SALIMEN's Ronaldão Novaes was substituted for Enéas Pereira. 91 minutes into the game, İldeniz Davutoğlu lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Gualter Roriz. In the 94th minute İldeniz Davutoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualter Roriz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers İldeniz Davutoğlu in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gualter Roriz saved Delta FS from getting behind. SALIMEN's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
