Peñarol's Jimeno Infante to fire away a dangerous shot which Vladimir Prestes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The Cavern Club's Vladimir Prestes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save The Cavern Club from getting a goal against them. After 17 played minutes The Cavern Club got a freekick which was hit by Asaf Durcan. The Cavern Club's Gonzalo Vergaray was substituted for Jacob Albuquerque. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberigo Prosperi in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xaiver Rosende saved C.A. Peñarol from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Goran Lindegger during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The wind increased when Alberigo Prosperi made the kick off in the second half. Şanver Kortan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xaiver Rosende having to interfere. Goran Lindegger got his second yellow card in the match during the 63rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Goran Lindegger hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 66th match minute, The Cavern Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Asaf Durcan to maneuver through the defense. Alberigo Prosperi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to The Cavern Club getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Grzegorz Krychowiak hit a great ball. Edelmiro Portal kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
