In the 3rd minute Wincent Szotek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Seaman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. B&B Jelenia Góra's Gilbert Kordalewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Carlos Monteiro in the 4th minute of play. After some careless play in the B&B Jelenia Góra defense, Aníbal Alagoano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilbert Kordalewski. The B&B Jelenia Góra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilbert Kordalewski should have stopped the shot. When İshak Esendağ came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the B&B Jelenia Góra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that İshak Esendağ couldn't finish the play. 13 minutes into the match, B&B Jelenia Góra's goal looked a bit too open when Raphael Cunha came free, but Gilbert Kordalewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 21 minutes, Zé Carlos Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jenipapo SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Carlos Monteiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wincent Szotek in the 22nd minute of play forced Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper David Seaman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilbert Kordalewski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raphael Cunha went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 40 played minutes, Jenipapo SC's Arsenio Gipuzkoa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gilbert Kordalewski came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jenipapo SC reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arrigo Trinca in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Seaman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 43 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's Aníbal Alagoano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilbert Kordalewski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aníbal Alagoano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. At last the ball reached Aníbal Alagoano at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of B&B Jelenia Góra. 0-3. In the 56th minute, Vinicio Junior hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Jenipapo SC's Gilbert Kordalewski threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aníbal Alagoano, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 66th minute of the match, Vinicio Junior tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gilbert Kordalewski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 69 minutes into the match, B&B Jelenia Góra's goalkeeper Gilbert Kordalewski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raphael Cunha. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wincent Szotek in the 70th minute of play forced Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper David Seaman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Wincent Szotek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Seaman. Jenipapo SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wincent Szotek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. David Seaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wincent Szotek, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute of the match B&B Jelenia Góra got a corner. Jenipapo SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zachariasz Barys ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wincent Szotek in the 79th minute of play forced Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper David Seaman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Maurício Arósio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilbert Kordalewski was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. David Seaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wincent Szotek, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The Jenipapo SC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jenipapo SC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
