Victoria Toruń's Borys Poreda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martyon Brading in the 9th minute of play. After 13 minutes, Ermanno Bencivenni mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Verbano FC and the Victoria Toruń players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th match minute, Verbano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermanno Bencivenni to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Verbano FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ennio Maccarone hit a great ball. Dragolyub Dzhahov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Attilio Marzoli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victoria Toruń's Naci Kac got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Victoria Toruń booed when Verbano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermanno Bencivenni didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Ermanno Bencivenni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute Naci Kac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Attilio Marzoli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ennio Maccarone hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Attilio Marzoli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Naci Kac in the 31st minute. Borys Poreda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermanno Bencivenni, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Verbano FC's Attilio Marzoli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Verbano FC from getting a goal against them. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Naci Kac made a kick off. Attilio Marzoli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naci Kac, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Attilio Marzoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naci Kac in the 53rd minute of play. Flavio Proietti hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Naci Kac in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Attilio Marzoli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Naci Kac sped through Verbano FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Attilio Marzoli. If Martyon Brading had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ermanno Bencivenni in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Borys Poreda saved Victoria Toruń from getting behind. In the 78th minute Zhu Yan Quan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Attilio Marzoli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Armin Fulgenzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Verbano FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Armin Fulgenzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Borys Poreda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Naci Kac sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Attilio Marzoli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zhu Yan Quan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zhu Yan Quan took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Attilio Marzoli. Attilio Marzoli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Borys Poreda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermanno Bencivenni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle, Victoria Toruń could leave the field as winners, despite Verbano FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
