Roberto Abbondanzieri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tudor Sântimbrean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angel Guillelmus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angel Guillelmus got free with Sebastian Bungeanu in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Venezia FC's Pastor Soter got a free kick in the 16th minute. Roberto Abbondanzieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samet Mert, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute F.C. Angel Quinito hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afşin Şehzat in the 31st minute of play forced Venezia FC's goalkeeper Roberto Abbondanzieri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
