With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yavuz Bülent Akbatu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Navigators's Yavuz Bülent Akbatu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Navigators from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Navigators's Yavuz Bülent Akbatu got control of the ball when Ladislao Bertran tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Navigators's Kostas Kelaidonis got a free kick in the 18th minute. 20 minutes into the game, Navigators's Cai Shi Feng nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Primitivo Fernanco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolo Nuno in the 24th minute of play forced Navigators's goalkeeper Yavuz Bülent Akbatu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Primitivo Fernanco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kostas Kelaidonis in the 27th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Cai Shi Feng had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Primitivo Fernanco. Boca Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cai Shi Feng was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Primitivo Fernanco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yu Ke Hui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Primitivo Fernanco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kostas Kelaidonis in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute Kostas Kelaidonis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primitivo Fernanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute of the match Navigators got a corner. Boca Juniors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hakan Işık ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 38th minute Yu Ke Hui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primitivo Fernanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Navigators fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Navigators's Kostas Kelaidonis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Navigators's Elpidio Salvidor was substituted for Atacan Erdemli. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bartolo Nuno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Boca Juniors's Primitivo Fernanco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yu Ke Hui in the 52nd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Cai Shi Feng came free, but Primitivo Fernanco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Cai Shi Feng took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Primitivo Fernanco to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Bertran in the 66th minute of play forced Navigators's goalkeeper Yavuz Bülent Akbatu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boca Juniors made a substitution. Maximo Bordat replaced Bartolo Nuno. Boca Juniors's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Orlando Lluques in the 69th minute. After 70 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Cresenciano. Maximo Bordat scored 1-4 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yavuz Bülent Akbatu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bahri Rafiz in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Primitivo Fernanco saved Boca Juniors from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Bordat in the 94th minute of play forced Navigators's goalkeeper Yavuz Bülent Akbatu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Navigators left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Boca Juniors.
