The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fabio Santilli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Dracena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zdzislaw Rydzewski in the 10th minute of play forced America FC's goalkeeper Gildo Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chatziantoniou Anagnostopoulos took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gildo Furtado. Gildo Furtado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sataporn Snabl in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gildo Furtado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zdzislaw Rydzewski hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute of the match Karl-Erik Lind sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gildo Furtado skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of America FC booed when KIA KAHA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sataporn Snabl didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind America FC's goalkeeper Gildo Furtado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half KIA KAHA were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vladimir da Rocha to strike the kick off in the second half. When Chatziantoniou Anagnostopoulos came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the KIA KAHA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chatziantoniou Anagnostopoulos couldn't finish the play. After having played for 71 minutes, Chatziantoniou Anagnostopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KIA KAHA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chatziantoniou Anagnostopoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. KIA KAHA's Daniel Glanselius was substituted for Chatziantoniou Anagnostopoulos. KIA KAHA made a substitution. Nicklas Smitt replaced Sataporn Snabl. 79 minutes into the game, Daniel Glanselius recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gildo Furtado. Daniel Glanselius showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. America FC's Gildo Furtado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save America FC from getting a goal against them. Chants of KIA KAHA echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as America FC had held the ball for most of the match.
