An unexpectedly hard shot by Tato Vega in the 3rd minute of play forced America FC's goalkeeper Gildo Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. America FC's Gildo Furtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tato Vega in the 5th minute of play. After 7 played minutes Que se abra o mar got a freekick which was hit by Luisão Toscano. In the 8th minute of the match, Maicon Arruda got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sandro Tepedino was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 8 minutes, Maicon Arruda made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Que se abra o mar's Sandro Tepedino tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 11 played minutes Que se abra o mar got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto Pimenta. After 14 minutes of play, America FC's Yuri Lopez made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sandro Tepedino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Yuri Lopez's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sandro Tepedino firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 22nd minute Tato Vega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gildo Furtado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, America FC's Yuri Lopez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sandro Tepedino. Sandro Tepedino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. In the 29th minute Albertinho Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gildo Furtado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sandro Tepedino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maicon Arruda in the 30th minute. America FC's Gildo Furtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tato Vega in the 32nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Tato Vega's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gildo Furtado was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. 36 minutes into the match, America FC's goal looked a bit too open when Albertinho Andrade came free, but Gildo Furtado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tato Vega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Gildo Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Que se abra o mar's goalkeeper Sandro Tepedino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maicon Arruda.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tato Vega to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Albertinho Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Dracena in the 59th minute of play forced Que se abra o mar's goalkeeper Sandro Tepedino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 60 in the game by Tato Vega from a close distance when the talented Gildo Furtado managed to make a qualified save. America FC's players were relieved. In the 63rd minute, America FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Albertinho Andrade fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Que se abra o mar's Loco Orange was substituted for Tato Vega. Loco Orange fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gildo Furtado having to interfere. Que se abra o mar made a substitution. Tommy Van Elsen replaced Albertinho Andrade. Abel Mota tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Gildo Furtado. An unnecessary self made goal, 3-2 in the 75th minute. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind America FC's goalkeeper Gildo Furtado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 80 played minutes America FC got a freekick which was hit by Maicon Arruda. Loco Orange recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, America FC's Gildo Furtado got control of the ball when Loco Orange tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 88 minutes, Luisão Toscano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Que se abra o mar and the America FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of America FC booed when Que se abra o mar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisão Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lando Norin in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gildo Furtado saved America FC from getting behind. Gildo Furtado came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Que se abra o mar's Loco Orange. But to his dismay, Loco Orange quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
