Darien Iribe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hasan Kabakchi in the 17th minute. Darien Iribe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gunter Waller in the 18th minute of the match. Samir Hazlan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Darien Iribe made a huge save. Darien Iribe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunter Waller, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hasan Kabakchi got free with Darien Iribe in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Darien Iribe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunter Waller in the 34th minute of play. With 35 minutes on the clock, Kazimierz Raszek commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Kazimierz Raszek hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's Gunter Waller ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Darien Iribe. The audience thought a goal was coming when Samir Hazlan got free with Darien Iribe in the 49th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eddy Rüegsegger to make the kick off. Darien Iribe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddy Rüegsegger in the 53rd minute of play. In the 73rd minute Gunter Waller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darien Iribe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
