The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When Abílio Passos came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the SC Freiburg 09 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abílio Passos couldn't finish the play. Henry Blom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abílio Passos in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 09's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Eron came free, but Ivo Guterres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivo Guterres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raul Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Blom having to interfere. Henry Blom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Raul Leal took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Henry Blom to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Bragança in the 68th minute of play forced Polar Ice Caps's goalkeeper Henry Blom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nuno Bragança had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Botvidsson's late challenge caught a SC Freiburg 09's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Botvidsson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th minute of the match SC Freiburg 09 got a corner. Polar Ice Caps's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mehmet Ferit İsmet ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 84 played minutes Polar Ice Caps got a freekick which was hit by Tord Lundin. The crowd rose to their feet as Raul Leal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Henry Blom. That made the score 0-2 in the 85 minute of play. Polar Ice Caps's Henry Blom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Polar Ice Caps from getting a goal against them. Maximiliano Eron blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivo Guterres having to make a save. When the final whistle sounded SC Freiburg 09 left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Polar Ice Caps.
