Lv Yuan Kuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raimundo Ventura got free with Paul Holmstedt in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paul Holmstedt didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Gonzalo Lixandro shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. The supporters of Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. booed when FC Pepsi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarl Björling didn't get a good kick on the ball. 48 minutes into the match, FC Pepsi's goalkeeper Paul Holmstedt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gonzalo Lixandro.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joshua Sammut Castelletti made a kick off. Gonzalo Lixandro struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Paul Holmstedt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Clube V.R.S.A..
