In the 5th minute of the match, Joshua Sammut Castelletti tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Enrique Belo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sakura Storm's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Joshua Sammut Castelletti scored to the left of an out of position Enrique Belo, making the score, 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Lv Yuan Kuan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Enrique Belo. That made the score 2-0 in the 10 minute of play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 13th minute, but Enrique Belo got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Sakura Storm hanging dry this time. Enrique Belo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joshua Sammut Castelletti in the 14th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jarl Björling got free with Enrique Belo in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Enrique Belo made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Lv Yuan Kuan sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th minute Kurt Lundin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Belo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lv Yuan Kuan scored 3-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enrique Belo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Enrique Belo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Sakura Storm's Enrique Belo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Sakura Storm from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Sakura Storm's Enrique Belo got control of the ball when Lv Yuan Kuan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lv Yuan Kuan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Enrique Belo made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Lucente in the 39th minute of play forced Sakura Storm's goalkeeper Enrique Belo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enrique Belo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Lucente in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Sakura Storm's goalkeeper Enrique Belo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kurt Lundin. 43 minutes into the game, Tadeusz Dziechciowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 47th minute, Kurt Lundin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Enrique Belo. The goal made the score 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joshua Sammut Castelletti to make the kick off. Tadeusz Dziechciowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enrique Belo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kurt Lundin's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Enrique Belo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Sakura Storm fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enrique Belo should have stopped the shot. FC Pepsi made a substitution. Kanu Kanu replaced Lv Yuan Kuan. After 91 minutes Sakura Storm's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alf Klint who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Alf Klint got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Enrique Belo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Napoleon Mleczewski charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Napoleon Mleczewski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Pepsi booed when Sakura Storm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Napoleon Mleczewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enrique Belo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joshua Sammut Castelletti in the 94th minute of the match. In the 96th minute Kanu Kanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Belo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 9-0 when Kanu Kanu sped through Sakura Storm's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Enrique Belo.
