In the 49th minute FSX UNITED were awarded a corner. Karl-Åke Kvist went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Karl-Åke Kvist got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edgardo Patxi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Svend Betz was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Lengua de Lobo booed when FSX UNITED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mircea Popilean didn't get a good kick on the ball. FSX UNITED's Marcelo Salas was substituted for Mircea Popilean. In the 61st match minute, FSX UNITED was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mircea Popilean to maneuver through the defense. Edgardo Patxi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Cochrane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zebastian Spets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Patxi having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Thomas Cochrane managed to get in a good position for a shot. FSX UNITED's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomas Cochrane was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgardo Patxi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lengua de Lobo succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though FSX UNITED had controlled the match.
