Fonso Zotillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panagiotis Psaris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to XV de Piracicaba getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Lauro Souto hit a great ball. Fonso Zotillo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Argyris Stokas in the 25th minute. Isidoros Tsagarakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Jurdan, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the game, Argyris Stokas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fonso Zotillo. Argyris Stokas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fábio Montoia in the 34th minute of play forced PaoK Neapoleos's goalkeeper Isidoros Tsagarakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fonso Zotillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panos Barbagiannis in the 35th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, XV de Piracicaba's goal looked a bit too open when Argyris Stokas came free, but Fonso Zotillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Argyris Stokas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Argyris Stokas had several of the XV de Piracicaba's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 44 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Fonso Zotillo as he didn't even see the shot coming. Isidoros Tsagarakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Capixaba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gonzalo Jurdan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Fábio Montoia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidoros Tsagarakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 57 played minutes XV de Piracicaba got a freekick which was hit by Wen Yong Sha. Fonso Zotillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dawid Kosakowski in the 58th minute of the match. Dawid Kosakowski scored 4-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fonso Zotillo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. XV de Piracicaba's Severino Capixaba got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 66th minute of the match, Severino Capixaba got a very nice opportunity to score, but Isidoros Tsagarakis was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, PaoK Neapoleos's Urbano Txanton got a free kick in the 67th minute. Severino Capixaba took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isidoros Tsagarakis. Isidoros Tsagarakis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Vassilis Roubakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 78 minutes into the match, XV de Piracicaba's goal looked a bit too open when Vassilis Roubakis came free, but Fonso Zotillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82ndth minute of the game Vassilis Kyriakas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but XV de Piracicaba's Fonso Zotillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Vassilis Kyriakas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fonso Zotillo was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. After 84 minutes, Wen Yong Sha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the XV de Piracicaba and the PaoK Neapoleos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 84th match minute, XV de Piracicaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wen Yong Sha to maneuver through the defense. PaoK Neapoleos's Vassilis Roubakis managed to work through XV de Piracicaba's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Vassilis Roubakis dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Vassilis Kyriakas struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Fonso Zotillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PaoK Neapoleos.
