In the 8th minute Vítor Peixoto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chris Draxl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FUTEBOL ARTE's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Yan Le in the 13th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Claudinei Pirani heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 17th minute Yan Le shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chris Draxl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FUTEBOL ARTE's Margus Niilus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save FUTEBOL ARTE from getting a goal against them. Margus Niilus came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by SK Fenerbahce Wien's Brecht Govaerts. But to his dismay, Brecht Govaerts quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Claudinei Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chris Draxl having to interfere. Brecht Govaerts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Margus Niilus made a huge save. In the 28th minute, Vítor Peixoto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chris Draxl was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Nereo Rik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute, Robin Ivanschitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute, Yan Le got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ulises Manuelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute Nereo Rik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Margus Niilus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vítor Peixoto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Edvin Gernberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SK Fenerbahce Wien's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FUTEBOL ARTE the free kick. With an all-out effort, FUTEBOL ARTE's Chris Draxl threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Claudinei Pirani, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Chris Draxl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Peixoto, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Chris Draxl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Peixoto in the 70th minute of play. Yan Le fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chris Draxl having to interfere. Margus Niilus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tim-Florian Ramusch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute Vítor Peixoto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chris Draxl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yan Le struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Chris Draxl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FUTEBOL ARTE. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the FUTEBOL ARTE players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
