Dé Mello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rahim Sidam, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. With an all-out effort, Canarinho Atordoado's Duda Viana threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Márcio Seabra, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Duda Viana made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Luiz Leo sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute Tuncer İlbaşı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duda Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Canarinho Atordoado's Duda Viana threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luiz Leo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. HORIZZONT's Duda Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Márcio Seabra in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Luiz Leo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Duda Viana was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Duda Viana made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Luiz Leo sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, HORIZZONT's Duda Viana got control of the ball when Peter Mpenza tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 35th minute of the match, Márcio Seabra tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Duda Viana saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Dé Mello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rahim Sidam in the 36th minute of play. With a little luck, HORIZZONT's Duda Viana got control of the ball when Teodoro Jacinto tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 44 minutes HORIZZONT's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Peter Mpenza who took care of the corner kick. Doğukan Keskinel hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Leo was the one to do the kick off. Dé Mello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naim Gencal, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 59 minutes into the match, HORIZZONT's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio Seabra came free, but Duda Viana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Peter Mpenza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Mpenza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Duda Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 92 played minutes Canarinho Atordoado got a freekick which was hit by Tuncer İlbaşı. Canarinho Atordoado walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
