INTER's Ignacio Mahuzier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save INTER from getting a goal against them. Burukster's Válbson Soeiro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ignacio Mahuzier in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to INTER getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Abdi Kıvılcım hit a great ball. Gunnar Skarkman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Ignacio Mahuzier when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dagoberto Souza in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ignacio Mahuzier saved INTER from getting behind. With his leg Ignacio Mahuzier managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Burukster's Gunnar Skarkman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 1-0 became the score in the 38th minute when Gunnar Skarkman elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 40 played minutes Burukster got a freekick which was hit by Válbson Soeiro. Jeremias Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrei Măgură, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Luís Fábio Araújo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ignacio Mahuzier was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. 45 minutes had been played when some careless play by INTER's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Burukster's Dagoberto Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dagoberto Souza was the one to do the kick off. Ignacio Mahuzier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunnar Skarkman in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Dagoberto Souza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ignacio Mahuzier was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Ignacio Mahuzier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dagoberto Souza's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. 58 minutes into the game, Konstantinos Kouros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. INTER's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Burukster the free kick. After having played for 64 minutes, Dagoberto Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Burukster's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dagoberto Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Burukster fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Burukster's Dagoberto Souza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jeremias Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nontas Alexatos in the 70th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kostas Briakos got free with Jeremias Ribeiro in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dagoberto Souza in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ignacio Mahuzier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ignacio Mahuzier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dagoberto Souza in the 75th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Gunnar Skarkman sped through INTER's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ignacio Mahuzier. INTER's Ignacio Mahuzier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dagoberto Souza in the 81st minute of play. A collision led to Burukster getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Richard Valle hit a great ball. Ignacio Mahuzier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunnar Skarkman in the 86th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Dagoberto Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arlindo Aguiar's late challenge caught a INTER's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
