In the 27th match minute, KV Schoonwater was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sem Roekeloos to maneuver through the defense. Pino Van Hinnendaels kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, KV Schoonwater's goal looked a bit too open when Aquiles Xabat came free, but Daniel Ingelbert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abel Van Den Wijngaert in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Refael De Boeck kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alexandre Cunha. That made the score 1-1 in the 49 minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abel Van Den Wijngaert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, KV Schoonwater's goalkeeper Daniel Ingelbert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aquiles Xabat. Sem Roekeloos charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sem Roekeloos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aquiles Xabat was slow to take the kick. During this time Peñaloza's players had a chance to rest. Romeo Menendo was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 79 minutes in the game, Victorino Bonifaco fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Daniel Ingelbert having to interfere. Sven-Edvin Viklund hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Aquiles Xabats short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Daniel Ingelbert to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abel Van Den Wijngaert in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Peñaloza's Claudio Molina slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Daniel Ingelbert. That made the score 1-2 after 93 minutes of play. KV Schoonwater's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Claudio Molina scored to the left of an out of position Daniel Ingelbert, making the score, 1-3. Peñaloza's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
