The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tim Ståhlberg during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tim Ståhlberg hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Emanuele Fioriti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Martini in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garth Brough in the 10th minute of play forced FK Ekebo's goalkeeper Emanuele Fioriti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuele Fioriti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garth Brough, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Garth Brough scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emanuele Fioriti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Emanuele Fioriti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garth Brough in the 19th minute of the match. After 26 minutes, Elias Häger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FK Ekebo and the Australian Youth Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th match minute, FK Ekebo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Häger to maneuver through the defense. Emanuele Fioriti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garth Brough, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Roy Baba in the 38th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FK Ekebo's Tim Ståhlberg. 40 minutes into the match, FK Ekebo's goal looked a bit too open when Garth Brough came free, but Emanuele Fioriti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Garth Brough stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, FK Ekebo's goal looked a bit too open when Ellis Hoskin came free, but Emanuele Fioriti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuele Fioriti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ellis Hoskin went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Hermengildo Mambru kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, FK Ekebo's goalkeeper Emanuele Fioriti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Garth Brough. After 64 minutes of play FK Ekebo's Elias Häger was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, FK Ekebo's Elias Häger got a free kick in the 67th minute. Ellis Hoskin was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Garth Brough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Douglas Lööf made in the 89th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Alf Ivarsson however managed to control. With a little luck, FK Ekebo's Emanuele Fioriti got control of the ball when Garth Brough tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Australian Youth Academy booed when FK Ekebo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Lööf didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Garth Brough took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Emanuele Fioriti to make any attempt to save it.
