Newcastle United's Zé Paulo Zonta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jesper Blomberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jesper Blomberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Pacholewski in the 12th minute of the match. Jesper Blomberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Vollmar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Flogo FF's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Vollmar came free, but Jesper Blomberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adam Pacholewski hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Mikolaj Jerzyk was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Svend Havn capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Svend Havn really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 29 played minutes Newcastle United got a freekick which was hit by Zé Paulo Zonta. After a defensive mix-up in Newcastle United's zone, Finn-Christian Schei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mikolaj Jerzyk came out of the goal and Finn-Christian Schei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd minute, Thomas Vollmar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Newcastle United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 36 minutes into the match, Flogo FF's goal looked a bit too open when Pankracy Malicki came free, but Jesper Blomberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jesper Blomberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thomas Vollmar went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to Newcastle United getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Marian Erland hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thomas Vollmar to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Sigve Berland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikolaj Jerzyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flogo FF's Jesper Blomberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Flogo FF from getting a goal against them. After taking down the ball on Newcastle United's corner Pankracy Malicki fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jesper Blomberg quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigve Berland in the 85th minute of play forced Newcastle United's goalkeeper Mikolaj Jerzyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Olgierd Wojtowicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the match, Newcastle United's goal looked a bit too open when Knut Monstad came free, but Mikolaj Jerzyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thomas Vollmar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Jesper Blomberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jesper Blomberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thomas Vollmar's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Newcastle United's Mikolaj Jerzyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Finn-Christian Schei in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Newcastle United eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
