When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Claes Fender took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Savas Ignatiou to make any attempt to save it. Ruben Montez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Akakios Kazantzidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hala Madrid Iraki FC's Claes Fender got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Αστέρας Δερβενίου's Savas Ignatiou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claes Fender in the 41st minute of play. Hala Madrid Iraki FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
