Valentin Axelsson lost his temper 10 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 10 minutes into the game, one of Hala Madrid Iraki FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave DJK Füchtel Vechta a penalty, 11 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ovidiu Poenaru, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hala Madrid Iraki FC's Ruben Montez. 0-1. Hala Madrid Iraki FC's André Kuipers managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Chris Kursawe in the 16 minute of the game. 22 minutes into the game, Marcelo Gallarde cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Gerold Zollt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hala Madrid Iraki FC's Aquilino Damásio quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mauro Galvão, made in the 25th minute of the game. Ruben Montez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthieu Richardot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute Matthieu Richardot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Montez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute of the match DJK Füchtel Vechta got a corner. Hala Madrid Iraki FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mauro Galvão ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led DJK Füchtel Vechta's Matthieu Richardot to fire away a dangerous shot which Ruben Montez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Rabia Ünal came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Hala Madrid Iraki FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rabia Ünal couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rabia Ünal was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Hala Madrid Iraki FC's zone, Wellington Nóbrega stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruben Montez came out of the goal and Wellington Nóbrega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Ruben Montez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Wellington Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Ruben Montez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruben Montez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthieu Richardot, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Ruben Montez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthieu Richardot in the 61st minute of the match. With a little luck, Hala Madrid Iraki FC's Ruben Montez got control of the ball when Matthieu Richardot tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ren Zhan Cheng made in the 89th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Gerald Abd el Farrag immediately put the ball in play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the DJK Füchtel Vechta players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
