Golden Hills's Egil Östlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yu Ting Hong in the 15th minute of play. Egil Östlund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Denis Zarate in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute, Szczepan Giec hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by CF Pogi Club Olsztyn's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Santo Sparks was slow to take the kick. During this time Golden Hills's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Golden Hills's corner Santo Sparks fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ulryk Tomporowski quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yu Ting Hong in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Egil Östlund saved Golden Hills from getting behind. A collision led to Golden Hills getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Chance Stone hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Golden Hills defense, Denis Zarate kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egil Östlund. The Golden Hills fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egil Östlund should have stopped the shot. Ren Bo Hong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geoffrey Vasquez hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ward Doran to make the kick off. Golden Hills:s Egil Östlund showed great skill when he stopped Denis Zarate:s penalty. Egil Östlund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yu Ting Hong's shot from short distance in the 81st minute.
