Leo Chesus started the match with the kick off. Caetano da Silveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leo Chesus's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Patay Juniors's Cayetano Francho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Elija in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute Leo Chesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caetano da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Patay Juniors defense, Ciro Elija kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cayetano Francho. The Patay Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cayetano Francho should have stopped the shot. 15 minutes into the game, Chelsicha's Ciro Elija nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cayetano Francho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Edgard Ledesma hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Cayetano Francho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Elija in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Patay Juniors's goalkeeper Cayetano Francho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ciro Elija scored 0-3 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cayetano Francho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Prospero Petri got free with Caetano da Silveira in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 30thth minute of the game Ciro Elija who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Patay Juniors's Cayetano Francho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cayetano Francho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Paulo de Carvalho in the 31st minute of play. If Ciro Elija had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ciro Elija blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cayetano Francho having to make a save. Leo Chesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Caetano da Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Chesus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the match, Patay Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Elija came free, but Cayetano Francho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ciro Elija to make the kick off. Ciro Elija sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 51st minute Ciro Elija shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Francho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leo Chesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 59 in the game by Ciro Elija from a close distance when the talented Cayetano Francho managed to make a qualified save. Patay Juniors's players were relieved. In the 60th minute, Ciro Elija got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chelsicha made a substitution. Bebeto Maia replaced Vânderson Cafuringa. Ciro Elija's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cayetano Francho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Victor Velloso got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cayetano Francho quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 66th minute Ciro Elija shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Francho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciro Elija in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cayetano Francho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cayetano Francho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciro Elija went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. The supporters of Chelsicha booed when Patay Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Ledesma didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute Leo Chesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caetano da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Chelsicha's Ciro Elija sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cayetano Francho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Ciro Elija had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prospero Petri in the 82nd minute of play forced Chelsicha's goalkeeper Caetano da Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciro Elija received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Cayetano Francho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Patay Juniors's goalkeeper Cayetano Francho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Chelsicha had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
