After a rather tough play, Ágætis Byrjun's Gert van den Bergh got a free kick in the 8th minute. Ditlev Delmont sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romão Mourato might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Georg Hagberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romão Mourato ran back to his position shaking his head. Ricardo Ceberiche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nick Heesen in the 16th minute of the match. Georg Hagberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romão Mourato in the 21st minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Romão Mourato had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Georg Hagberg. Ágætis Byrjun's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romão Mourato was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Romão Mourato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Georg Hagberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Roneros F.C.'s goalkeeper Ricardo Ceberiche had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gert van den Bergh. 36 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's goal looked a bit too open when Romão Mourato came free, but Georg Hagberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roneros F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cordero Aberasturi in the 37th minute. A nice corner shot did that Cordero Aberasturi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Georg Hagberg quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 46th minute Romão Mourato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Hagberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

After a defensive mix-up in Ágætis Byrjun's zone, Romão Mourato stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Georg Hagberg came out of the goal and Romão Mourato tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Ágætis Byrjun getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Alain Roche hit a great ball. Roneros F.C.'s Witomir Jestrimski was substituted for Romão Mourato. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Roneros F.C.'s goalkeeper Ricardo Ceberiche, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Georg Hagberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Witomir Jestrimski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ricardo Ceberiche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nick Heesen, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 86 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's goal looked a bit too open when Witomir Jestrimski came free, but Georg Hagberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zilar Aleson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ágætis Byrjun's Jelte Reitsma was substituted for Ernst Melis. The Roneros F.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
