Ditlev Delmont received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Abel Matro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th minute Nick Heesen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Matro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 0-1 became the score in the 13th minute when Nick Heesen elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 18 minutes into the game, Nick Heesen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Abel Matro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Nick Heesen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ágætis Byrjun's supporters rose to their feet, but Nick Heesen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Matro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nick Heesen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abel Matro having to make a save. Abel Matro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nick Heesen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Nick Heesen came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Ágætis Byrjun fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nick Heesen couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nick Heesen in the 30th minute of play forced Plumerillo's goalkeeper Abel Matro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Nick Heesen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Matro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Nick Heesen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Plumerillo's Abel Matro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nick Heesen in the 35th minute of play. Nick Heesen took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abel Matro. Abel Matro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nick Heesen made a kick off. Eugeniusz Koczara kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Nick Heesen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abel Matro having to make a save. 51 minutes into the match, Plumerillo's goal looked a bit too open when Nick Heesen came free, but Abel Matro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nick Heesen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abel Matro having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Nick Heesen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abel Matro was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Nick Heesen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Abel Matro came out and tried to block the shot, but Nick Heesen slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 68th minute. After 73 played minutes Ágætis Byrjun got a freekick which was hit by Ernst Melis. Nick Heesen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Abel Matro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ágætis Byrjun's Georg Hagberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Fernández in the 78th minute of play. Ágætis Byrjun's Jelte Reitsma was substituted for Ernst Melis. Ágætis Byrjun were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Plumerillo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ladislao Cordarius took the corner. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Plumerillo's goalkeeper Abel Matro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee felt a red card was in order, 92 minutes into the game, when Eugeniusz Koczara put in a rough tackle. In the 92nd minute, one of Plumerillo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Plumerillo.
