In the 8th minute, Herman Benett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Di Röe getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Bengt-Rune Berg hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the game, Zhu Bin Le threw the ball into play from the sideline. Cascadia United's Baltasar Piorno quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Leonel Rocco came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Di Röe's Sten Melberg. But to his dismay, Sten Melberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Malte Hedström made in the 29th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Cascadia United's Baltasar Piorno. Leonel Rocco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Melberg in the 34th minute of play. Leonel Rocco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herman Benett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 played minutes Cascadia United got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Ángel Benito. In the 46th minute of the game Rene Pueblo made a throw-in which Miguel Ángel Benito played forward. George Kristiansson was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Miguel Ángel Benito capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Miguel Ángel Benito really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Cascadia United made a substitution. Constantino Neto replaced Abel Neron.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Miguel Ángel Benito stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cascadia United's Leonel Rocco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Melberg in the 54th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miguel Ángel Benito in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck George Kristiansson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Cascadia United booed when Di Röe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens Åkerman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miguel Ángel Benito struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. George Kristiansson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cascadia United. Di Röe made a substitution. Arnaldo da Fonseca replaced Sten Melberg. A collision led to Cascadia United getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Tamás Lovas hit a great ball. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cascadia United's goalkeeper Leonel Rocco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Miguel Ángel Benito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 85 minutes into the match, Di Röe's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Ángel Benito came free, but George Kristiansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Cascadia United's Miguel Ángel Benito nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. George Kristiansson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 90 minutes into the match, Miguel Ángel Benito had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of George Kristiansson. Di Röe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miguel Ángel Benito was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 96 minutes into the match, Di Röe's Gerard Tan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonel Rocco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Herman Benett during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Herman Benett kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Miguel Ángel Benito's late challenge caught a Di Röe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Ángel Benito helped the player get up and apologised. Cascadia United's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
