An unexpectedly hard shot by Florín Bratu in the 10th minute of play forced Modlau's goalkeeper Lew Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lew Yashin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Vefik Hisar, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Damazy Jucha during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th match minute, Modlau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damazy Jucha to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute Isac Mihălțan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lew Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Barry McCray got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bogdan Lobonț quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With his leg Bogdan Lobonț managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Modlau's Damazy Jucha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in A4p Dejani's zone, Jarmo Laik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bogdan Lobonț came out of the goal and Jarmo Laik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isac Mihălțan in the 30th minute of play forced Modlau's goalkeeper Lew Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, A4p Dejani's goalkeeper Bogdan Lobonț had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dominic Salazar. 32 minutes into the match, A4p Dejani's Ahmet Vefik Hisar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lew Yashin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd minute Isac Mihălțan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lew Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bogdan Lobonț didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jarmo Laik went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Marius Niculae's late challenge caught a Modlau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marius Niculae helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Modlau booed when A4p Dejani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marius Niculae didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jarmo Laik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogdan Lobonț having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isac Mihălțan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bogdan Lobonț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damazy Jucha in the 51st minute of play. The supporters of Modlau booed when A4p Dejani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isac Mihălțan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barry McCray in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bogdan Lobonț prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lew Yashin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florín Bratu in the 66th minute of play. Jarmo Laik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogdan Lobonț having to interfere. In the 69th minute Jarmo Laik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Lobonț saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bogdan Lobonț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarmo Laik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute Modlau were awarded a corner. Barry McCray went to the cornerflag to take it. Modlau's Damazy Jucha got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Modlau's Lew Yashin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Modlau from getting a goal against them. After 85 played minutes Marius Niculae rounded Modlau's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-2. The supporters of Modlau booed when A4p Dejani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florín Bratu didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Modlau were the better team. Modlau's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
