When Claudinei Novaes came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the TRICOSHOW F.CLUB fans jumped to their feet. Montesclarense E.C.'s Edgard de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruan Mozer in the 46th minute of play. Gonçalo Diniz charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonçalo Diniz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulão Medeiros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, TRICOSHOW F.CLUB's Edgard de Almeida threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcel Nascimento, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcel Nascimento in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgard de Almeida saved Montesclarense E.C. from getting behind.
