Buffalo Timişoara's Hunor Csapó played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bram Jamieson in the 21st minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Buffalo Timişoara's Ionică Buculeasa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind SK Gullegem's goalkeeper Urmas Känsäkangas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 36th minute Buffalo Timişoara were awarded a corner. Vali Voicescu went to the cornerflag to take it. 40 minutes into the match, SK Gullegem's goal looked a bit too open when Kiko Pirani came free, but Urmas Känsäkangas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kiko Pirani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Urmas Känsäkangas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. The supporters of Buffalo Timişoara booed when SK Gullegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otto Nørlinger didn't get a good kick on the ball.
