During the 19th minute of the match Cordarin Silva completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cordarin Silva a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 19 played minutes Los Colegas del Barrio got a freekick which was hit by Cordarin Silva. Zlatan Gigant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, United's Ernesto Vermudo got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 26th minute of the match Los Colegas del Barrio got a corner. United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cosme De Silva ran over to the corner to take the kick. Olaf Iniesta was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 29thth minute of the game Zlatan Gigant who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Colegas del Barrio's Paulo Victor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Paulo Victor stood somewhat misplaced when Zlatan Gigant came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 30 minute. Paulo Victor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hong Hong in the 33rd minute of the match. Zlatan Gigant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Victor having to interfere. Zlatan Gigants short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Paulo Victor to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 39 minutes into the game, one of Los Colegas del Barrio:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Los Colegas del Barrio:s Paulo Victor showed great skill when he stopped Modesto Peirano:s penalty. After having played for 42 minutes, Zlatan Gigant managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zlatan Gigant was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pelayo Vazquez was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zlatan Gigant in the 50th minute of play forced Los Colegas del Barrio's goalkeeper Paulo Victor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Los Colegas del Barrio's Antonio Canal was substituted for Eutropio Harroyo. Los Colegas del Barrio's Bitxintxo Etxeberria was substituted for Olaf Iniesta. Los Colegas del Barrio's Josepe Mangas was substituted for Gai Teruel. After a rather tough play, Los Colegas del Barrio's Garry Mason got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Paulo Victor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zlatan Gigant, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Los Colegas del Barrio had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
