Renato Vargas came out of the goal and Edgard Veldkamp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute, Manuel Fernandes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 10th minute Michael Scott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renato Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renato Vargas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barry Zalm, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Renato Vargas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barry Zalm in the 12th minute of the match. 0-1 became the score in the 14th minute when Brain Veldman elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, Koen Poels had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Renato Vargas. Sporting Clube de Gaya's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Koen Poels was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 22nd minute, Barry Zalm made a precise shot to the right of Renato Vargas. Sporting Clube de Gaya's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Renato Vargas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Koen Poels, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Sporting Clube de Gaya's Renato Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barry Zalm in the 26th minute of play. Barry Zalm scored 0-4 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Renato Vargas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 35 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube de Gaya's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Scott came free, but Renato Vargas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 36 minutes of play, Flashdynamica's Koen Poels made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Renato Vargas was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 43rd minute, Barry Zalm got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Renato Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Veldkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the match, Barry Zalm notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Sporting Clube de Gaya's Renato Vargas. Renato Vargas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Barry Zalm to make the kick off. Fredy Montero hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Renato Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Koen Poels in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Flashdynamica booed when Sporting Clube de Gaya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matias Lobo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 54 played minutes, Flashdynamica's Koen Poels shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Renato Vargas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Flashdynamica reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barry Zalm in the 55th minute of play forced Sporting Clube de Gaya's goalkeeper Renato Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Billy de Jager blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Renato Vargas having to make a save. Renato Vargas was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Michael Scott capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Michael Scott really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. Renato Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barry Zalm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the game, Flashdynamica's Michael Scott nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Renato Vargas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Koen Poels in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renato Vargas saved Sporting Clube de Gaya from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Scott in the 73rd minute of play forced Sporting Clube de Gaya's goalkeeper Renato Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 75 minutes of play, Flashdynamica's Billy de Jager made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Renato Vargas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Flashdynamica's Xavi Simons was substituted for Michael Scott. In the 79th match minute, Flashdynamica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucien Pietersma to maneuver through the defense. Renato Vargas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Billy de Jager went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-10 was the resulting score. In the 89th minute, Matias Lobo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renato Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barry Zalm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Renato Vargas was a little too slow when Raymond Fleur got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 0-11. Flashdynamica's Raymond Fleur was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 95th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When the match was over Flashdynamica could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sporting Clube de Gaya throughout the match.
