In the 8th minute, one of Sporting Clube de Gaya:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sporting Clube de Gaya. Sporting Clube de Gaya:s Renato Vargas showed great skill when he stopped Fabio Ticho:s penalty. 10 minutes into the game, El Bobo y El Bocho's Fabio Ticho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Renato Vargas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Lucílio Figueiras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Felix Maxin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th match minute, Sporting Clube de Gaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Koralp Tükel to maneuver through the defense. Fabio Ticho came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Renato Vargas could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, El Bobo y El Bocho's Dario Leizarraga got a free kick in the 25th minute. With a little luck, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Renato Vargas got control of the ball when Fabio Ticho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fredy Montero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Fredy Montero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felix Maxin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victor Mendiko to strike the kick off in the second half. El Bobo y El Bocho's Fabio Ticho got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 56th match minute, El Bobo y El Bocho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Ticho to maneuver through the defense. Felix Maxin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fredy Montero in the 66th minute. The tension between the Sporting Clube de Gaya and the El Bobo y El Bocho players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of El Bobo y El Bocho booed when Sporting Clube de Gaya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. El Bobo y El Bocho were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sporting Clube de Gaya for a fine match.
