But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavio Miconi couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Schuster's Donato Ali got control of the ball when Marcel Blanco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Donato Ali made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcel Blanco in the 12th minute. After 14 minutes, Alonzo Rosselot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VILLANUEVA FC and the Schuster players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 14 played minutes VILLANUEVA FC got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Rosselot. In the 27th minute Mauro Bezerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicodemo Recalde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicodemo Recalde didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mauro Bezerra went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 31st minute, Mauro Bezerra made a precise shot to the right of Nicodemo Recalde. VILLANUEVA FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The wind increased when Mauro Bezerra made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, VILLANUEVA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xacobo Barroso to maneuver through the defense. Donato Ali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xalvador Mac Kenney, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Mauro Bezerra might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicodemo Recalde. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicodemo Recalde yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Schuster were furious when Flavio Miconi was red carded, 64 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Schuster! In the 70th minute, Musko Cuevas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcel Blanco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donato Ali read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd match minute, VILLANUEVA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerardo Gazitúa to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, VILLANUEVA FC's Gerardo Gazitúa got a free kick in the 74th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Bezerra got free with Nicodemo Recalde in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nicodemo Recalde was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mauro Bezerra showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-7 in the 84 minute of play. Germán Seisdedos hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Mauro Bezerra in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nicodemo Recalde, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in VILLANUEVA FC's zone, Anfilogino Pittelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicodemo Recalde came out of the goal and Anfilogino Pittelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Schuster's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
