The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute of the match, Ercüment Acıbadem tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wladyslaw Czerwinski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Greg Walker in the 8th minute of play forced SubaV's goalkeeper Erkut Tun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Kürşat Serdengeçti in the 12th minute of play forced Jar.C Lipno's goalkeeper Wladyslaw Czerwinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 14 minutes, Greg Walker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jar.C Lipno's supporters crossed their fingers, but Greg Walker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wladyslaw Czerwinski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrice Delsaut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the game, Ali Kürşat Serdengeçti recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wladyslaw Czerwinski. Ali Kürşat Serdengeçti showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in SubaV's zone, Greg Walker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erkut Tun came out of the goal and Greg Walker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erkut Tun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boleslaw Ciupierdo in the 27th minute of play. Boleslaw Ciupierdo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Jar.C Lipno booed when SubaV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Birol Secaat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wladyslaw Czerwinski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ali Kürşat Serdengeçti in the 33rd minute. After 42 minutes of play, Jar.C Lipno's Izydor Dranka made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erkut Tun was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Jar.C Lipno's Jan Malik got a free kick in the 46th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mikael Nilsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Erkut Tun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Izydor Dranka in the 53rd minute of play. Wladyslaw Czerwinski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrice Delsaut in the 59th minute of the match.
