An unexpectedly hard shot by Anatol Hönes in the 3rd minute of play forced AKI CORINTHIANS's goalkeeper Paredes Fortes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guy Durant was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and Ciro Brasil capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ciro Brasil really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 6th match minute, Lyon 69ers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romaric Orsoni to maneuver through the defense. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lyon 69ers! Lyon 69ers:s Guy Durant showed great skill when he stopped Alfred Schrijns:s penalty. In the 15th minute AKI CORINTHIANS were awarded a corner. Alfred Schrijns went to the cornerflag to take it. Alfred Schrijns made a great header on AKI CORINTHIANS's corner, it was just that Lyon 69ers's Guy Durant managed to reach the ball for a save. Guy Durant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albino Ibar's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Paredes Fortes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anatol Hönes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albino Ibar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guy Durant having to make a save. After some careless play in the AKI CORINTHIANS defense, Anatol Hönes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paredes Fortes. The AKI CORINTHIANS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paredes Fortes should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albertinho Mandrak got free with Guy Durant in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paredes Fortes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anatol Hönes's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. In the 35th match minute, AKI CORINTHIANS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vânderson Castro to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anatol Hönes in the 41st minute of play forced AKI CORINTHIANS's goalkeeper Paredes Fortes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44thth minute of the game Anatol Hönes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AKI CORINTHIANS's Paredes Fortes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 45th minute Anatol Hönes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paredes Fortes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute Lyon 69ers were awarded a corner. Marian Racoviceanu went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Lyon 69ers's Marian Racoviceanu to fire away a dangerous shot which Paredes Fortes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

In the 52nd minute, Mathias Lecanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guy Durant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albino Ibar in the 55th minute of play. After 57 played minutes AKI CORINTHIANS got a freekick which was hit by Albino Ibar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anatol Hönes in the 59th minute of play forced AKI CORINTHIANS's goalkeeper Paredes Fortes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paredes Fortes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anatol Hönes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paredes Fortes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anatol Hönes in the 68th minute of the match. After 75 minutes of play, Lyon 69ers's Anatol Hönes made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paredes Fortes was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, AKI CORINTHIANS's Paredes Fortes got control of the ball when Tom Beaune tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paredes Fortes was a little too slow when Anatol Hönes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 1-3. After 90 played minutes AKI CORINTHIANS got a freekick which was hit by Vânderson Castro. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Tom Beaune managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lyon 69ers's supporters rose to their feet, but Tom Beaune was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paredes Fortes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Albino Ibar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Lyon 69ers supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lyon 69ers would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
