A throw-in in the 4th minute of the game was made by Evelio Sasoin with Gualterio Jayvier as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Gualterio Jayvier who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Aguinaga Nebot when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by CENTAURO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Stefanos Terzopoulos was slow to take the kick. During this time Esmeraldas S.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Damian Maftei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Abalos having to interfere. In the 15th minute, CENTAURO's Santos Cordarrel seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Santos Cordarrel the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of CENTAURO protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Santos Cordarrel had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 16 minutes of play, Esmeraldas S.C.'s Stefanos Terzopoulos made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iker Abalos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iker Abalos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from İbrahim Volkan in the 22nd minute of the match. Iker Abalos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İbrahim Volkan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 26 minutes, Evelio Sasoin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CENTAURO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evelio Sasoin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aguinaga Nebot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angel Abella, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. İbrahim Volkan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Iker Abalos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, CENTAURO's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Maftei came free, but Iker Abalos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the CENTAURO defense, Damian Maftei kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iker Abalos. The CENTAURO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iker Abalos should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damian Maftei in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iker Abalos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, CENTAURO's Pastor Valery got a free kick in the 41st minute. After having played for 42 minutes, Stefanos Terzopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esmeraldas S.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Stefanos Terzopoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Martinez Cines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Evelio Sasoin to strike the kick off in the second half. Evelio Sasoin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Aguinaga Nebot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Stefanos Terzopoulos came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Esmeraldas S.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefanos Terzopoulos couldn't finish the play. Iker Abalos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Maftei in the 59th minute of the match. Iker Abalos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Maftei, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esmeraldas S.C.'s goalkeeper Aguinaga Nebot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. CENTAURO made a substitution. Ramiro Estefan replaced Eloy Mannuel. Ovidio Rivero hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Damian Maftei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Abalos having to interfere. CENTAURO's Ceferino Frances was substituted for Ovidio Rivero. CENTAURO's Iker Abalos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Maftei in the 77th minute of play. Iker Abalos made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when İbrahim Volkan sent off a good shot on target. The corner led Esmeraldas S.C.'s Yan Zhou Xuan to a score. 0-3 in the 80th minute. Esmeraldas S.C.'s Oskar Petersson got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute Victorio Argoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aguinaga Nebot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. İbrahim Volkan in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Iker Abalos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 88th minute, Stefanos Terzopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ceferino Frances charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ceferino Frances the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ceferino Frances hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Iker Abalos made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Stefanos Terzopoulos sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Sasoin in the 96th minute of play forced Esmeraldas S.C.'s goalkeeper Aguinaga Nebot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esmeraldas S.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
