Finn Eidsvåg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 15 minutes into the match, AEK FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Naike came free, but Finn Eidsvåg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Israel Petri got free with Elpidio Vitin in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nicolas Roland blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Finn Eidsvåg having to make a save. AEK FC's Finn Eidsvåg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Roland in the 22nd minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Vélez Juniors's Nicolas Roland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Finn Eidsvåg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 28 minutes into the match, Cristian Naike notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of AEK FC's Finn Eidsvåg. Finn Eidsvåg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 38 minutes, Nicolas Roland made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. AEK FC's Finn Eidsvåg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Nicolas Roland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. If Bernardo Sayvion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The AEK FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vélez Juniors were winning 0-7.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristian Naike stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Nicolas Roland dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Finn Eidsvåg, 0-8. Nicolas Roland could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Finn Eidsvåg made a huge save. In the 58th minute, Nicolas Roland ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Finn Eidsvåg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. A collision led to Vélez Juniors getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Guido Luzaide hit a great ball. Elpidio Vitin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Endre Bjørheim in the 69th minute of play. Nicolas Roland who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Finn Eidsvåg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 73rd minute Cristian Naike shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Finn Eidsvåg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Naike took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Finn Eidsvåg. After 90 minutes of play, Vélez Juniors's Cristian Naike made it 0-13 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Finn Eidsvåg was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind AEK FC's goalkeeper Finn Eidsvåg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match was over Vélez Juniors could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than AEK FC throughout the match.
