Martin Rustad's late challenge caught a AEK KAVALAS FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Rustad helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th minute Jonathan Vie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grigoris Zacharas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christer Waaler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fotis Pegiadis, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Grigoris Zacharas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristian Sandersen in the 22nd minute of the match. Grigoris Zacharas made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Jonathan Vie sent off a good shot on target. Grigoris Zacharas had great luck who in the 25thth minute grab hold of the ball when Jonathan Vie from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Åsnes's Christer Waaler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Takis Rodostoglou in the 26th minute of play. Christer Waaler came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by AEK KAVALAS FC's Odysseas Lazaroglou. But to his dismay, Odysseas Lazaroglou quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Grigoris Zacharas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Vie in the 39th minute of the match. Takis Rodostoglou took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christer Waaler. Christer Waaler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 45 played minutes Åsnes got a freekick which was hit by Fredrik Hebnes. 47 minutes into the match, Åsnes's goal looked a bit too open when Odysseas Lazaroglou came free, but Christer Waaler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Odysseas Lazaroglou made a kick off. Martin Rustad kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Emil Giurcă was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 52nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Christer Waaler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Takis Rodostoglou, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 57th minute Takis Rodostoglou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christer Waaler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charis Labropoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Christer Waaler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AEK KAVALAS FC's Grigoris Zacharas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Vie in the 63rd minute of play. Åsnes's Christer Waaler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Åsnes from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Takis Rodostoglou took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Christer Waaler to make any attempt to save it. If Odysseas Lazaroglou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd match minute, Åsnes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fredrik Hebnes to maneuver through the defense. After 75 played minutes AEK KAVALAS FC got a freekick which was hit by Dimosthenis Papachantzoulis. 85 minutes into the match, AEK KAVALAS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Vie came free, but Grigoris Zacharas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 86 played minutes AEK KAVALAS FC got a freekick which was hit by Dimosthenis Papachantzoulis. When the match was over AEK KAVALAS FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Åsnes throughout the match.
