In the 6th minute Kasper Rechkemmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jack Glanselius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Real Södertälje getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Reynaldo Cerezo hit a great ball. Jack Glanselius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ludger Krug in the 8th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Ludger Krug left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Germania München fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After having played for 13 minutes, Markus Svensson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Södertälje's supporters crossed their fingers, but Markus Svensson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Markus Svensson ran back to his position shaking his head. 23 minutes into the match, FC Germania München's goal looked a bit too open when Markus Svensson came free, but Richard Mühsam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jack Glanselius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomasz Presch, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Reynaldo Cerezo hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, FC Germania München's Bastian Schweinsteiger got a free kick in the 42nd minute. FC Germania München's Richard Mühsam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Markus Svensson in the 45th minute of play. In the 49th minute, Kasper Rechkemmer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Germania München fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nils-Åke Wickander made a kick off. 60 minutes into the game, Nils-Åke Wickander cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Richard Mühsam was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The FC Germania München supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Germania München would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
