But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Guerra couldn't finish the play. Hugo Guerra had several of the 25 de Abril Futbol Club's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 9 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Elpidio Beat as he didn't even see the shot coming. Pedro Venceslao charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Venceslao the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, 25 de Abril Futbol Club's Pedro Venceslao got a free kick in the 11th minute. A collision led to 25 de Abril Futbol Club getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Miguel Urtungo hit a great ball. Delmiro Makaus's late challenge caught a 25 de Abril Futbol Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Delmiro Makaus helped the player get up and apologised. Delmiro Makaus kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Spartans FC's Haroldas Strazdas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yao Ang Feng in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Hugo Guerra recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Elpidio Beat. Hugo Guerra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 35 minutes into the match, 25 de Abril Futbol Club's goalkeeper Elpidio Beat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugo Guerra. Hugo Guerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Elpidio Beat made a huge save. Spartans FC's Haroldas Strazdas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yao Ang Feng in the 40th minute of play. Haroldas Strazdas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yao Ang Feng, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 25 de Abril Futbol Club's Elpidio Beat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save 25 de Abril Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yao Ang Feng stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 25 de Abril Futbol Club's Elpidio Beat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmiro Makaus in the 52nd minute of play. Elpidio Beat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Guerra in the 56th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Miguel Tauro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Elpidio Beat quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 62nd minute Hugo Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Beat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yao Ang Feng during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, 25 de Abril Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yao Ang Feng to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by Felix Remicio in the 64th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Spartans FC's Edgar San Juan. In the 65th minute, Yao Ang Feng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Spartans FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Miguel Tauro in the 71st minute. Haroldas Strazdas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yao Ang Feng in the 72nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugo Guerra in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elpidio Beat saved 25 de Abril Futbol Club from getting behind. Elpidio Beat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Guerra in the 75th minute of play. Miguel Urtungo's late challenge caught a Spartans FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Guerra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elpidio Beat having to make a save. Elpidio Beat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Guerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 25 de Abril Futbol Club's Elpidio Beat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Guerra in the 82nd minute of play. Pedro Venceslao was shown his second yellow card after 90 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. When the referee ended the match the Spartans FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
