Zhuo Fei Kun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lu Yin Zheng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Edinson Haaland kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paulinho Vander. That made the score 4-0 in the 39 minute of play. Paulinho Vander acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 45th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Carmine Gargano. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edinson Haaland got free with Paulinho Vander in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Lu Yin Zheng made the kick off in the second half.
