An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Botasso in the 9th minute of play forced Locomotiva grena's goalkeeper Dorian Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Drafi's Daniel Malinovský sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dorian Machado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Botasso in the 14th minute of play forced Locomotiva grena's goalkeeper Dorian Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute Daniel Malinovský shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorian Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Locomotiva grena's Dorian Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Malinovský in the 21st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Christian Faria's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manolis Ntouvaris was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Manolis Ntouvaris stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Faria's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Locomotiva grena's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Botasso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Daniel Malinovský scored 0-3 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dorian Machado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Drafi were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Faria stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Locomotiva grena's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Botasso came free, but Dorian Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Precioso Barcaiztegui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dito Mineiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Drafi made a substitution. Kleon Sgouros replaced Carlos Fernando Abraão. Drafi's Chatziioannou Stavrakos was substituted for Cristian Botasso. Precioso Barcaiztegui's late challenge caught a Drafi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Precioso Barcaiztegui helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th minute, Precioso Barcaiztegui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Locomotiva grena made a substitution. Flavinho Mello replaced Dito Mineiro. Locomotiva grena's Tomas Lewandowski was substituted for Precioso Barcaiztegui. The crowd rose to their feet as Drafi's Daniel Malinovský slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dorian Machado. That made the score 0-5 after 78 minutes of play. Tomas Lewandowski took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manolis Ntouvaris. Manolis Ntouvaris dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6.
