A collision led to Florão da América getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Guilherme de Souza hit a great ball. El Millo de Haedo's Fernando Ruisko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save El Millo de Haedo from getting a goal against them. Guilherme de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Fernando Ruisko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dragolyub Chavdarov hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the game, Mandi Bulín recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fernando Ruisko. Mandi Bulín showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A throw-in in the 20th minute of the game was made by Maximino Rosio with Aurelio Aureo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. If Hernán Crespo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Florão da América's goal looked a bit too open when Hernán Crespo came free, but Gwidon Juchno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in El Millo de Haedo's zone, Guilherme de Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Ruisko came out of the goal and Guilherme de Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bayezit Akçabay kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Mohamed Mané's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Ruisko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Gwidon Juchno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernán Crespo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. El Millo de Haedo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hernán Crespo in the 41st minute. In the 45th minute Jorge Olguín shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwidon Juchno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on El Millo de Haedo's corner Hernán Crespo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gwidon Juchno quite easily take care of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

El Millo de Haedo's Fernando Ruisko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohamed Mané in the 79th minute of play. After some careless play in the Florão da América defense, Hernán Crespo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gwidon Juchno. The Florão da América fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gwidon Juchno should have stopped the shot. In the 84th minute, Tostão Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tostão Medeiros charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tostão Medeiros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tostão Medeiros hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Pedro Gonzalezs short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Gwidon Juchno to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
