The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Alexandru Anton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th minute Remus Contra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Muscaș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remus Contra's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Albert Muscaș firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cornel Amandiței sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 19 minutes FC Liverpool YnWa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Petrică Ciolofan who took care of the corner kick. Petrică Ciolofan made a great header on Dark Prophets's corner, it was just that FC Liverpool YnWa's Octav Stratulat managed to reach the ball for a save. Alexandru Anton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Constantin Cârstea made in the 28th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ovidiu Tomulescu. A collision led to Dark Prophets getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Constantin Cârstea hit a great ball. If Viorel Cristoloveanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horea Neaga hit a great ball. When Viorel Cristoloveanu came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Dark Prophets fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viorel Cristoloveanu couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Dark Prophets's zone, Alexandru Anton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albert Muscaș came out of the goal and Alexandru Anton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Remus Contra to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remus Contra in the 52nd minute of play forced Dark Prophets's goalkeeper Albert Muscaș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Alexandru Anton came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the FC Liverpool YnWa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandru Anton couldn't finish the play. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dark Prophets's goalkeeper Albert Muscaș, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Remus Contra sped through Dark Prophets's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Albert Muscaș. In the 70th minute of the match FC Liverpool YnWa got a corner. Dark Prophets's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Moise Fenici ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Moise Fenici almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Dark Prophets's Albert Muscaș did a great save. FC Liverpool YnWa's Octav Stratulat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornel Amandiței in the 73rd minute of play. After having played for 78 minutes, Alexandru Anton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Liverpool YnWa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandru Anton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Viorel Cristoloveanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Octav Stratulat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornel Amandiței in the 84th minute of the match. Alexandru Anton struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Albert Muscaș didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Liverpool YnWa. 88 minutes into the match, FC Liverpool YnWa's Alexandru Anton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Albert Muscaș narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
