The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Victor Rutenio kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, LKS Wasik Lidzbark's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Cantona came free, but Filip Topolski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filip Topolski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Cantona in the 29th minute of the match. Saga TF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Brian Laudrup in the 36th minute. Joachim Forseth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Duszenski, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 57th minute, Emil Jazowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joachim Forseth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Duszenski in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Erik Cantona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filip Topolski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dudu Freitas in the 68th minute of play forced Saga TF's goalkeeper Joachim Forseth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Saga TF's Erik Cantona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filip Topolski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joachim Forseth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pankracy Rasiak in the 73rd minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Pankracy Rasiak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joachim Forseth. Saga TF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pankracy Rasiak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Dudu Freitas sped through Saga TF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joachim Forseth. Filip Topolski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trond Gilde in the 82nd minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Erik Cantona notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of LKS Wasik Lidzbark's Filip Topolski. Filip Topolski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Saga TF players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
