With a little luck, COMCHOPP's Alto Moco got control of the ball when Nereo Cacheres tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Los once leones Ourense's zone, Thomas Steffens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albano Unzueta came out of the goal and Thomas Steffens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albano Unzueta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narciso Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute COMCHOPP were awarded a corner. Esteve Urtungo went to the cornerflag to take it. After having played for 44 minutes, Marcelinho Hermes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. COMCHOPP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelinho Hermes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcelinho Hermes was the one to do the kick off. COMCHOPP's Marcelinho Hermes got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 83 minutes into the match, Los once leones Ourense's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Lopez came free, but Albano Unzueta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
