In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind COMCHOPP's goalkeeper Alto Moco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 13 minutes into the game, AF CERRADO's Marcos Paulista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alto Moco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Xove Pintor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Arlindo Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iuri Falcão kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. If Marcelinho Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arlindo Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelinho Hermes in the 34th minute of play. Alto Moco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murilo Lucas in the 35th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goal looked a bit too open when Esteve Urtungo came free, but Arlindo Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Murilo Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alto Moco having to interfere. In the 48th minute, Marcelinho Hermes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The COMCHOPP fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcelinho Hermes to make the kick off. AF CERRADO's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Marcelinho Hermes scored to the left of an out of position Arlindo Guedes, making the score, 1-2. In the 61st match minute, AF CERRADO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toninho Moreira to maneuver through the defense. Arlindo Guedes acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 62nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Esteve Urtungo. A collision led to AF CERRADO getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Pedro Lopez hit a great ball. Arlindo Guedes made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Esteve Urtungo sent off a good shot on target. In the 74th minute Xove Pintor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arlindo Guedes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thomas Steffens in the 75th minute. Toninho Moreira's late challenge caught a COMCHOPP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Toninho Moreira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 76th minute, Toninho Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AF CERRADO's Dennis Contaldi was substituted for Róbson Bittencourt. AF CERRADO's Felix Smits was substituted for Carlos Alberto Jacinto. AF CERRADO's Thiago Damião was substituted for Marcos Paulista. In the 78th match minute, AF CERRADO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Smits to maneuver through the defense. COMCHOPP's Esteve Urtungo got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iuri Falcão got a throw-in 90 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Dennis Contaldi. In the 92nd minute Marcelinho Hermes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alto Moco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antônio Carlos Bueno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. COMCHOPP walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
